The Chai Hut
A loyal customer base worth recognizing
The Chai Hut has built a strong community of customers around its café and chai bar in Calgary. For Davinder, the goal wasn’t simply to attract more people. He wanted a meaningful way to show appreciation to the customers who already supported the business.
As one of Worthify’s earliest adopters, The Chai Hut introduced a rewards program that gives customers something back for continuing to visit.
Since launching, the program has grown to 181 members and recorded a 77.35% all-time retention rate. Customers average 6.7 visits each, showing how deeply repeat visits are already woven into the business.
Turning appreciation into an everyday experience
Worthify gives The Chai Hut a consistent way to recognize customer support through points and rewards.
Instead of appreciation remaining an occasional gesture, it becomes part of the customer experience. Customers can see their progress, earn rewards and feel recognized each time they return.
The results also show how important regulars are to the business. Loyal customers represent just 11.6% of The Chai Hut’s recorded customer base but account for 59% of its recorded revenue.
A direct connection beyond the café
Davinder also values being able to reach customers directly. Rather than relying entirely on a social media feed to keep The Chai Hut visible, Worthify gives the business a direct channel to customers who have already chosen to stay connected.
That channel can be used to share timely updates, acknowledge customer activity and give people a relevant reason to make another visit.
Reaching customers at the right moment
Worthify’s automations help The Chai Hut maintain those connections without requiring Davinder to manage every interaction manually.
One of the most useful has been the nearby notification. When an enrolled customer is close to the café, Worthify can send a message reminding them that The Chai Hut is nearby.
Customers have specifically told Davinder that they were already in the area when they received the notification—and that the reminder encouraged them to stop in for a coffee or snack.
It is a small interaction, but an important one: The Chai Hut remains present at the moment when a customer can act.
Building on the loyalty that was already there
The Chai Hut’s Worthify program has recorded $18,768.27 in revenue from returning customers. That figure represents observed returning-customer activity, not revenue attributed solely to Worthify.
The larger story is how Davinder has used Worthify to build on something The Chai Hut already had: customers who genuinely care about the business.
Rewards help recognize them. Direct communication keeps the relationship active. Automations make that connection easier to maintain. Together, they give The Chai Hut a practical way to show appreciation and remain part of its customers’ routines.
